Clean the device on a regular basis to maintain hygiene and measurement reliability.

How often

• Before first use and after each period of extended storage — perform a cleaning and disinfection wipe.
• During routine use — wipe the exterior surfaces at least once per day, and whenever the device becomes visibly soiled.
• Before using the device on another person — perform a disinfection wipe.

How to clean

• Clean the device with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water, mild detergent, or 70 % alcohol, avoiding the display.
• Allow the device to dry completely before use or storage.
• Do not submerge the device in water or any other liquid, and do not expose it to running water.
• Do not sterilize the device. Sterilization can damage the electronics, enclosure, seals and labels, and may lead to malfunction or inaccurate readings. If a sterile device is required for a procedure, this product is not suitable for that use.
• Do not use solvents, bleach outside approved concentrations, abrasive cleaners, or any unlisted chemicals. These may damage the enclosure, seals or labels and can affect measurement accuracy. If you are unsure whether a product is approved, contact authorized support before use.
• If the device contacts an aggressive substance, stop use and inspect it. If damage is suspected, contact authorized support.
• Do not allow the thermometer to be shared among individuals without properly disinfecting the device.

Elastic strap

Elastic straps are single-use and can be worn for up to 24 hours. Each package contains 10 straps, which are also available for individual purchase.

Storage

• Temperature: store within the specified storage temperature range (up to +50 °C).
• Humidity: store in a dry place. Avoid exposure to moisture, condensation, or direct contact with liquids.
• Cleanliness: store the device clean and free from dust, dirt and aggressive substances.
• Packaging: keep the device in its original packaging or a protective case when not in use, especially during transport or long-term storage.
• Battery: if storing for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and corrosion.
• Avoid sunlight and heat: do not store in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in vehicles on hot days.
• Protection: store out of reach of children and pets, and away from sources of vibration, shock, or strong electromagnetic fields.

Always inspect the device for damage before use after storage. If in doubt about storage conditions or device integrity, contact customer care for guidance. Changing environmental conditions can affect the measurement.

Maintenance

No calibration or professional servicing is required during normal use. Inspect the device regularly for visible damage, and do not use a damaged device. Check the elastic strap for signs of wear (loss of elasticity, fraying) and replace it if necessary.
