Step 1: Download the Baby FM App: Requirements: iPhone with iOS 13.0 or newer, or Android smartphone with Android 7.0 or newer. Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) or newer. Internet connection (required for initial setup, account creation, and app updates). Instructions:

  1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Search for "Baby FM".
  3. Tap Download / Install.
  4. Open the Baby FM app once installation is complete.

Step 2: Create Your Account:

  1. Open the Baby FM app.
  2. Tap Create Account.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password.
  4. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  5. Tap Register.
  6. Check your email for a verification link and tap it to confirm.
  7. Return to the app and log in.

Step 3: Activate the Thermometer: The Baby FM thermometer has no physical buttons. It activates when a battery is present.

  1. Verify the CR2032 battery is installed (it comes pre-installed).
  2. The LED indicator will flash briefly to confirm the device is powered on.

Step 4: Pair the Thermometer with Your Smartphone:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Open the Baby FM app.
  3. Navigate to the Pairing screen (shown during first-time setup, or available via Settings > Devices).
  4. Keep the thermometer within 1-2 meters of your phone.
  5. The app will scan for nearby Baby FM devices. Select your thermometer from the list.
  6. Wait for the confirmation message: "Connected".
  7. The thermometer LED will show a steady light to confirm a successful connection.

Note: The thermometer can only be paired with one smartphone at a time. To switch phones, unpair from the current device first (see Section 7.6).

Step 5: Create a User Profile:

  1. Go to Settings > User Profiles.
  2. Tap Add Profile.
  3. Enter the person's name and any relevant details (e.g., age, notes).
  4. Tap Save.

You can create multiple profiles to track temperature history separately for each person.
