Take Your First Temperature Reading

Preparation

  • Rest indoors for 10-15 minutes before measuring.
  • Ensure the underarm area is clean and completely dry (sweat may affect readings).
  • Remove bulky clothing from the measurement area.
  • Avoid drafts, direct sunlight, or air conditioning blowing on the person.

Steps:

  1. Open the Baby FM app and confirm the thermometer is connected (status: "Connected").
  2. Lift the arm and place the thermometer probe tip high in the center of the armpit, ensuring full skin contact.
  3. Lower the arm and press it snugly against the torso.
  4. Minimize movement during the reading.
  5. Watch the live temperature in the app. Allow 30-90 seconds for the value to stabilize.
  6. Once the reading plateaus (the value stops rising), this is your temperature result.
  7. The measurement is automatically saved to your history.

Tips for best results

  • Keep the arm firmly closed throughout the measurement.
  • Use the same armpit each time for consistent results.
  • For babies or children, gently hold the arm in place, or measure while the child is calm or asleep.
  • If you reposition the device, wait an additional 30-60 seconds for the reading to re-stabilize.
