Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Device Not Found During Pairing
If the app can’t find your thermometer during setup:
- Make sure the thermometer is turned on — the LED should be blinking blue.
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled in your phone’s system settings.
- Bring the thermometer within 1 meter of your phone during pairing.
- Close and reopen the Baby FM app, then try again.
- If the issue persists, restart both the thermometer (hold power for 5 seconds) and your phone.
Frequent Disconnections
Bluetooth has a range of approximately 10 meters. If you’re experiencing frequent disconnections:
- Keep your phone in the same room as the thermometer.
- Remove obstacles between the device and phone (thick walls, metal objects).
- Check that battery saver mode isn’t restricting Bluetooth on your phone.
- On Android, go to Settings → Apps → Baby FM → Battery and set it to “Unrestricted”.
Data Not Syncing
The thermometer stores up to 42 hours of readings locally. When it reconnects to your phone, all stored readings will sync automatically. If data appears to be missing:
- Open the app and wait 30 seconds for sync to complete.
- Pull down on the home screen to force a manual sync.
- Check that the app has the latest version from your app store.
