Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.

Baby FM is a smart, wearable temperature monitor designed for babies and children. It uses a sensor secured with a strap that is gentle on the skin and continuously measures body temperature and transmits data via Bluetooth to the Baby FM mobile app. The app displays real-time temperature readings, trends, and sends alerts if the temperature rises above pre-set thresholds. Parents can monitor their child’s temperature remotely without disturbing sleep.

The device is designed to resist minor splashes and sweat but should not be submerged in water or exposed to heavy moisture. Always remove the device before bathing your child or engaging in water activities. If the device gets wet, remove the battery, dry it thoroughly, and allow 24 hours of air drying before reuse.

Yes, the Baby FM device is reusable.

Yes, Baby FM is specifically designed to be lightweight, small, and comfortable. The sensor is thin and flexible, uses low-energy Bluetooth (BLE) that emits minimal non-ionizing radiation, and the hypoallergenic strap is gentle on the skin. Most babies quickly forget they are wearing it. The device is designed to stay securely in place during sleep, feeding, and gentle movement.

Yes, Baby FM can be used for a one-time measurement by checking the value in the app a few seconds after taking the temperature.

Yes, the same Baby FM device can be used by multiple users. The app allows you to create separate profiles for each user, so temperature data is tracked individually. Always use a clean strap and clean the sensor thoroughly before applying it to a different user.

Baby FM offers continuous, wearable monitoring rather than intermittent spot checks. Digital thermometers require manual intermittent measurements, and the Baby FM app provides visual representation of real-time temperature data, shows trends, and sends alerts according to the user’s settings.

The thermometer can be used by the whole family, regardless of age. It only needs to be cleaned between uses and the band should be used in the appropriate size. It can also be used as a regular thermometer for one-time measurement, without the band.

We expect the Baby FM thermometer to be available in Serbia as early as September 2026. Please follow us for more information.

Yes, Baby FM requires a companion mobile app to display temperature data, trends, and alerts. The device itself records and temporarily stores readings, but the app is necessary for visualization, tracking, and alert configuration. The app is free to download from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

Yes, Bluetooth must be enabled on your phone for the app to receive data from the Baby FM device. The device uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which consumes very little power from both the device and your phone. You can disable Bluetooth when not using the device, but it must be on during monitoring sessions.

Yes, the app allows you to export temperature data as a PDF report. You can share reports via email or messaging apps. This feature is useful for sharing with pediatricians, family members, or keeping personal health records.

Place the sensor on clean, dry skin in the underarm (axilla) area for optimal accuracy. Ensure the thermometer makes full contact with the skin, without wrinkles. The app provides visual guidance during setup to confirm correct placement.

The band is elastic and made of soft material, so it can be adjusted to a comfortable position for the child, which prevents the band from tearing.

A single battery typically lasts around one month of continuous use and up to 6 months in low-power standby mode. However, this depends on measurement frequency, Bluetooth transmission settings, and ambient conditions. Battery level bars in the app indicate the battery level. You will get a notification once there is only one bar left.

Baby FM uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. We recommend using a reputable brand to ensure consistent performance. This battery is not rechargeable. Please replace the battery with a new CR2032 when the old one is depleted. Dispose of used batteries according to local environmental regulations.
