Checks Before Each Use
Perform the following quick checks before use and at regular intervals, to ensure safe operation and accurate measurement.
Visual inspection before each use
Visually inspect the device and battery compartment. Do not use the device if you notice cracks, deformation, loose parts, damaged or illegible labels or markings, corrosion, fluid ingress, or if the battery lid cannot be closed securely. If any damage is found, stop using the device and contact authorized support.
Battery compartment
Verify the lid closes fully and seats securely, and that the polarity markings are visible. If the lid cannot be secured, do not use the device.
Battery status
Check the battery indicator in the app. Replace the CR2032 battery when notified (at or below 20 %), or if the device fails to power on after correct insertion.
Cleanliness
Ensure the exterior surfaces are clean and dry. If cleaning is needed, follow the cleaning and disinfection instructions. Do not submerge the device.
Functional check
Power the device by inserting the battery, open the app, and confirm that the device connects and displays a temperature value within a plausible range for room or body conditions. If there is no signal, or abnormal values persist, discontinue use and contact support.
Environmental conditions
Use only within the specified operating temperature and humidity ranges (10 – 40 °C, 10 – 95 % relative humidity). Avoid excessive vibration, shock, or exposure to liquids. Excessive vibration — on machinery, in vehicles, or during sports — may damage internal components, loosen the battery compartment, or affect measurement accuracy.
After a drop, a spill, or strong vibration
If the device has been dropped, exposed to liquids, or subjected to strong vibration, inspect it carefully and perform the functional check before the next use. If damage is suspected, stop using the device and contact authorized support. Do not attempt to repair or open the device yourself.
